Unveiled at the inaugural HealthTech Advisory Centre (HTAC) Seminar in February 2025, this enhanced platform is designed to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative healthcare solutions by providing a secure, simulated environment for experimentation and validation.

  • HCC Sandbox (AWS & Azure): A secure, customized cloud platform compliant with Healthcare Commercial Cloud (HCC) standards, ensuring stringent security and standardized infrastructure across both AWS and Azure environments.

  • Production-Equivalent APIs: Access to over 2,300 HL7 FHIR APIs and Synapxe’s implementations of national and central systems, enabling developers to create applications that integrate seamlessly with existing healthcare infrastructures.

  • Developer Suite: A sandbox environment that facilitates rapid development and deployment, allowing innovators to demonstrate and validate their ideas with end-users without the need for extensive infrastructure setup.

  • Synthetic Data Services: Provision of privacy-first synthetic datasets tailored for proof-of-concept projects, empowering healthcare innovation while maintaining data privacy.

These features collectively aim to reduce common barriers to health innovation, such as concerns over patient safety and cybersecurity, thereby improving the speed to market for new solutions.

Collaborative Efforts and Industry Partnerships

Synapxe has been proactive in fostering collaborations to enhance healthcare innovation. In September 2023, the agency launched Singapore’s first HealthTech Co-Innovation Lab in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This initiative provides a space where public healthcare entities can present challenges to the industry, inviting HealthTech startups and other organizations to develop and prototype solutions using AWS technologies and training programs. Successful projects benefit from AWS credits, ideation workshops, technical consultations, and access to AWS training programs, facilitating the co-creation of innovative healthcare solutions.

Synapxe's Rebranding and Future Vision

In July 2023, Singapore’s HealthTech agency, formerly known as Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), rebranded itself as Synapxe. This new identity reflects the agency's expanded role in shaping the future of HealthTech in Singapore. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung emphasized Synapxe's critical function in ensuring seamless medical information flow across the healthcare ecosystem, thereby enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.
